I can’t remember where I was. There were a bunch of dance leaders in a room and they were complaining. Not just callers, mind you, club presidents were there, along with other VIP types.
Complain. Complain. Complain.
Instead, I have another philosophy. It’s sort of like the idea of “fake it until you make it.”
I prefer to pretend I have no problems. It makes people around me very jealous. (Jealousy, greed, and worry are emotions that I avoid at all costs. However, it can be fun to watch them in others.)
Also, somehow, by pretending I have fewer problems, it seems to reduce the number of problems I seem to have.
You can complain that there aren’t enough dancers, that they are not very good, that they leave early, that they don’t pay enough to cover the cost of the hall….
Or, you can live in the moment and dance.
I know where I like to be.
